Eternally Moving

If you find yourself in a battle
without obvious weapons
use your being as your protection.

Maybe it was Bruce Lee who once said,
“The one who brings weapons to a fight
is the loser.”

Dancers are the best warriors.
To glide and dodge with grace
blocking and taking coup without obvious effort.

Dancers, poets, and true artists
know the rhythms and movements
of the universe and move accordingly.

Life’s storms are full of chatter and chaos.
We are drawn into the melee.
We lose ourselves.

To be centered and mobile
in the rush of life's storms
is to dance through life.

I wish that I were such a dancer.
