PLAYING THE BIGGER GAME
It begins with laughter
How serious is your game?
If you don't win
is it deadly?
If you do win
are you generous?
I have been holding back. Chained to a past of financial crimes against myself.
Unwilling to expose too much at times.
Second-guessing my course.
Fearing the what-ifs.
I don’t know how fast I will change. (if you say “Just do it.” I will spit on you.)
I know that there is a better life out there. I know that I feel old.
But a person at 70 does not give up or claim age as an excuse.
And so I LAUGH!
And breathe the air.
And dream the dreams
And replot the course
Through the storms.
