Writing a poem is hard
Writing an impactful poem
is like tearing down a mountain
to get to its truth.
And then trying to rebuild it.
We don’t get there often.
Maybe we walk around and find
a beautiful reflection
of the inverted mountain
and write that.
It’s not that the reflection is
less than the mountain.
I do it all the time.
Poets are philosophers,
seekers, even mystics.
We create.
But, Why?
The best answer that I have recently seen is
John Gillen is not prolific on Medium. But he is getting near the heart of a mountain.
